The Creek Home has ~1600 square feet with 3 bedrooms plus an office, 1 1/2 baths, 2 wood burning fireplaces plus forced air heat and a passive solar system, 8 inch walls with 6 inches of insulation in walls and 14 inches of insulation in the ceiling, aspen and spruce tongue and groove paneling, rock work inside and out, special firewood entry door, see through kitchen bar, exposed beam ceiling and wall to wall carpeting except hard tile at entry ways and in the kitchen.
The kitchen is rustic and pictured on this site by left clicking on the menu above. It has 40 cabinets and drawers, a refrigerator AND an upright freezer, dishwasher and a self cleaning oven.
The property is about ½ acre and has easy year around access. It has a great view of the mountains and Lake Vallecito is an effortless stroll though a private access locked gate. It is about 27 miles to Durango taking the Florida Rd cutoff and in the Bayfield School District. Roads are well maintained as the school buses are on them through the winter. It is on the famous Mushroom Drive at Lake Vallecito. The deposit is dependent upon several factors including the number of people, pet, and employment. There is no smoking within the home or the basement/workshop.
